California has mandated a 40 percent reduction in greenhouse gas (GHGs) emissions by 2030, and an 80 percent reduction by 2050, relative to 1990 levels. Snuller (Snu) Price, Senior Partner at Energy + Environmental Economics (E3), will discuss the firm’s work for the California Energy Commission examining scenarios to achieve these climate goals. Mr. Price will describe the broad pillars of decarbonization in California and discuss how they are essential across all sectors of the economy, buildings, industry, and transportation. He will outline key strategies that must be launched and succeed to achieve the 2030 and 2050 goals, and discuss specific strategies likely to be employed in buildings to meet these goals.
